Jabez Ministries

Jabez Ministries began during the COVID-19 pandemic by Jeeva & Andrew Jonahs, to address food insecurity in the local community. Although the crisis of the pandemic has passed, families in San Bernardino are still going hungry.

Since June of 2020, every week, we have been distributing food hampers that contain fresh produce, bread, and shelf-stable pantry items. On average we have anywhere from 80–100 come through to pick up hampers for individuals, families, and neighbors.

Victoria Church has been a vital partner with Jabez Ministries from its inception. The food distribution takes place in the church’s parking lot. Members from the church regularly volunteer to set up, unload the truck, create and distribute hampers, direct traffic, and finally, to clean up. Jabez Ministries is able to serve large numbers in the community because of the generous support of Victoria Church.

Please consider supporting Jabez Ministries with a tax-deductible donation. Your donations go towards continuing our weekly food distribution which include supplies; gas; paying part-time workers for pick-ups, deliveries, and loading/unloading; and maintenance of delivery vehicles (e.g., insurance, registration, repair costs etc.)
